Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the Good Question Cards?

There are lots of different ways to use the Good Question cards, and no one 'right' way.  People often find them helpful for personal reflection, one-to-one conversations (e.g. coaching or mentoring) or activities with teams or larger groups.

You'll find some downloadable exercise guides above, which will give you a few ideas to get started.  Beyond that, we'd encourage you to find your own creative ways to get the best out of the cards.

Who can I use the Good Question Cards with?

The question cards can be used with a wide range of people, to spark more positive conversations and deeper connections.

They're often used with children and young people (although you might want to choose which cards to include), working age people and older people too.

We've heard many stories of the cards being valuable in management discussions, coaching, therapy, training, teaching and more. They're also really popular as a conference or event ice-breaker activity.

While they're a great prompt for one-to-one conversations and group discussions,  they can also be valuable for personal reflection and contemplation.

Where can I find more resources or training options?

As well as the free downloads you can see above, we're busy working on a number of additional resources and training options. As soon as they are ready, we'll add them to the Practitioner Hub.

Are there different versions of the deck available?

Yes, there are currently two different versions to choose from. Both have the same 48 questions on the same quality card, but they have different boxes.

The standard version comes in a sturdy upright box, which is ideal if you'll use the cards again and again. The Essential Edition, which is only available in boxes of 10 or 100 packs, comes in a lighter-weight tuckbox.

The Essential Edition is ideal if you're looking to use the Good Question Cards in bulk, for example as a give-away at an event or as part of a development programme.

Who created the Good Question Cards?

The Good Question Cards were the second card deck released by At My Best, after the very popular Strengths Cards.

At My Best is the product brand of UK-based business psychologists Work Positive. Since 2014, we've been producing high-quality, easy-to-use and impactful tools.
