Frequently Asked Questions

Who are the ASPIRE Cards for?

The cards can be useful to promote discussion and reflection in a wide range of contexts including education (with both students and staff), workplaces and community groups.

Those piloting the cards have found them to be valuable when working with groups and in one-to-one conversations.

When will the cards be available?

We don't have a release date yet, but we are aiming to have them available for presale very soon.

What is the ASPIRE model?

The ASPIRE model suggests cultures that enable people to thrive are characterised by 6 principles: Agency; Safety; Positivity; Inclusion; Respect and Equity.

The model, inspired by the tenets of positive psychology and wellbeing research, provides a useful and flexible framework to use in facilitation, teaching and coaching to explore the beliefs, feelings and behaviours that are necessary dimensions of flourishing cultures.

Who created the ASPIRE model?

Dr Sue Roffey is the brains behind the ASPIRE model, and has worked closely with us at At My Best to create these cards and supporting resources.

If you want to learn more, Sue has written two books about ASPIRE in education:
